• These days, I try to read at least once a day whenever possible.

(My skin is dressed in a layer of hydration…)
    It’s a summer with 90% humidity.

The grilled hairtail I brought from my mom’s place— I freeze it and save it for those days when I don’t feel like eating much.

Since I don’t like picking out bones while eating, I make sure to remove them all beforehand. Haha.

    Summer stroll.

These days, I draw without pressure.
I try this, I try that— sketching on this paper, then on that one…

(“There is no other path to growth or truth than living true to yourself.”)

As I opened Hermann Hesse’s book, I was struck by the powerful line on the very first page…!
(Though I’m reading it digitally, haha)

I layered digital drawing over a watercolor base.

Back then, I was still dealing with digestive issues every other day— I think it lasted almost three weeks.

Still, hoping I was getting better, I made myself a bagel sandwich…

But I got sick again the next day, so after that,
I just kept being extra careful.

    I’m all better now :-)

Oh no, why are you out here in this heat…?

For a while, I ate nothing but scorched rice porridge and soybean paste soup.

Ipchu — the start of autumn in the Korean calendar — has arrived.

For a few days, it felt a little cooler.
At night, if I left the window open, I even had to pull up a blanket.

I’m not making much progress… but I still try to read consistently.

(I guess I’m just not that into novels.)

The shape of a summer home.

A sticker order came in for the first time in a while.

While I was packing it, I found myself wondering— is Etsy no longer an option for me?

Apparently, the U.S. has changed its customs policy,
and now even small parcels under $800 are subject to duties.

    But beyond the tariffs themselves,
I can’t help but question: with such a massive volume of packages,
can they really inspect everything on time, apply the duties, collect taxes from buyers,
and still manage to deliver everything properly…?

Of course, delays at customs seem inevitable…
which could lead to complaints, or even refund requests from buyers unfamiliar with import duties.

Considering all these risks— and the fact that I barely make any sales—
I’ve decided to give up on physical shipping altogether.

I thought about switching to vacation mode, but the listing fees felt too wasteful.
So I’m just letting each listing expire naturally as the dates run out.

($0.20 per listing, valid for 4 months)

If an order happens to come in from Europe or elsewhere during that time,
    I’ll ship it—and that’ll be the end of that piece. ;;

Luckily, this order came in around the 11th,
so I packed it with a grateful heart— and tucked in a generous handful of gifts.

According to news that surfaced yesterday (August 21),
Korea Post has decided to suspend all parcel shipments to the U.S.— except for EMS Premium.

It seems they couldn’t manage the growing concerns.
This isn’t just a matter between Korea and the U.S.,
but a global policy affecting all international parcels headed to America.

If things settle down and the system becomes manageable, maybe I’ll start again someday.

But from now on, I’ve decided to focus more on my digital Etsy shop.
    Not many have sold yet,though.

Still, one sold in the early hours last night,
and I’m thinking… maybe it’s a sign of something? Haha.

Nature, holding both light and shade, is just so beautiful… that I find myself going on
    morning and midday walks anyway.

*While physical shipping has paused, my digital Etsy shop is still open.

  • I hope to create a unique style someday, but right now,
I need to focus on practice and observing other works.

  • The Day I Was Happy

“It was such a scorching day, and the humidity soared to 90%.
Korean summers have become unbearably hot and humid…
I just can’t get used to it.

It feels like my skin is wrapped in a layer of moisture.
