• These drawings were made using pencil, pen, and colored pencils.
I also wrote the text by hand, so it was a bit tricky to align the layout.
But I think it adds a bit of liveliness to the monotony of the black-and-white images.

    The size is A5.
You can print it out and stick it on the wall with some pretty tape,
or print it on slightly thicker paper and lean it against the wall — it looks nice either way.

I happened to have a small mini easel at home, so I placed it on that. :-)

While working on the calendar, a lot of things overlapped, and at times I felt like giving up.
As an artist who doesn’t get much attention,
    I often thought,
‘What’s the point of all this?’

But in the end, I’m glad I saw it through to the finish.

Next year, I want to start a bit earlier and try making it in a different format too.

  • I finished all the drawings for the calendar a few days ago, and today I completed the date layout.

Tomorrow, I’ll do a test print and check everything. If all goes well, I plan to upload the digital download files for sale on Etsy and Payhip by this weekend.

Since print quality varies a lot depending on the environment, I chose monotone.

This image is a sample page for January in the calendar.
I wrote all the numbers and days by hand.
    The size is A5.
Looking forward to tomorrow’s print test. :)

  • Lately, my daily routine goes like this — I attend a design class from 10 in the morning until 1 in the afternoon.

Lately, I’ve been constantly wondering what I’m really capable of doing. I know I can’t keep living like this forever, so next year, I think I’ll have to get a part-time job to keep things going.

Even in the midst of an anxious daily life, autumn quietly arrives. A cool breeze begins to blow, and though the days are still warm, the nights feel gentle—just cool enough to enjoy a blanket without discomfort. In those fleeting moments, I find myself feeling unexpectedly happy.

“I’ve been working on a calendar to sell as a digital download whenever I have time. Thankfully, I managed to stick to my plan and finish 12 illustrations by September 😊. If all goes well, I’m planning to release it on Etsy and Payhip sometime in October.

Originally, I was planning to look for a part-time job starting next March. But once my current 2D design class ends in November, I’ve decided to continue with 3D design and video editing courses. They’re government-funded programs, and the tuition—which would normally cost around $3,500—is completely free. The part-time job I’m doing now has very short hours, so I don’t earn much. If I take on another job next year, I might not be able to attend these classes, even if I want to.
So after a lot of thinking, I went ahead and signed up anyway—figuring it’s best to learn while I still have the chance, even if things feel uncertain. 😊 Now that I’m in my mid-40s, I realize just how quickly time flies.
